Guza Trust

The Guza Trust is a foundation that is focused on providing a platform for financially disadvantaged students that show great promise in the classroom. Established on the 5th of January 2009, the trust’s focus is to provide support to these students through secondary school to give them the stepping stones to a brighter future.

Guza in Swahili means ‘touch’, and since its establishment, the programme has reached out to over fifty students. As PPA continues to grow, it is important that the Guza Trust grows with us to increase its impact. It is through the work with our clients and customers that will lead to the future success of the trust and its students.

Donations

In addition to Guza, we have provided financial support to students in need at Reverend Muhoro’s School for the Deaf, a public, special education institution offering Kenya’s national curriculum.

We have also been contributors to the Flower Project which is an alliance that was created between the Rotary Club Nairobi Gigiri branch and HEART. It is a non-profit organization which helps disadvantaged people thrive beyond the HIV / AIDs pandemic. In particular, HEART’s initiative helps young Kenyan women receive a consistent education through the Freedom for Girls project (africaheart.com).

PPA has also acted as the sole sponsor of Kenya’s National Caddies Association annual golf tournament for its past two editions.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, PPA has donated to various drives to provide relief such as:

Nairobi Baptist Church

PPA contributed to a food and clothing drive as well as donated COVID vaccines through KEPSA’s vaccination drive.

SHOFCO

An organization that looks to better the lives of the people living in urban slums across Kenya. SHOFCO has continued to play a vital role in the prevention and educational efforts around COVID-19.

Karen Country Club

PPA contributed to the club’s relief fund that supported caddies and the club’s ground staff who could not work during the initial stages of the pandemic.
